First, if I have a character that is finished, but not accepted, am I allowed to move on to starting another character, or do I need to wait until they are accepted before I start?
Secondly, I know that made-up species are allowed- but I was wondering specifically if Sergals are allowed. I see characters of them every where, so I am unsure if I would need explicit permission to create and roleplay one.

I'd actually like to know too- I have an OC species (a TRUE wolf-bird, not some random winged wolf) that doesn't fall under avian or canid due to its unique anatomy and behavior and such.

Questions everywhere. x3
I have two characters that are WIP simultaneously, so it would be hypocritical of me to say that you can only be in the process of creating one character at a time. No, this forum will be involving a lot of character design so if you have an idea, you're free to put it down and get it in motion whenever you see fit, even if you have other bios that are unfinished or not accepted. Though especially if your bio is finished but hasn't been accepted yet. That's just the staff being inattentive. x3 My bad.
Second question is yes, you'd need explicit permission because Sergals are not your species to control, use or distribute (and to be honest, I'm not sure who originally created them). The same goes for things like Crux or um... yeah, any original species really. You do need to have permission from their creator to use them here, for copyright reasons. Not everyone wants their characters or critters to be used for roleplay purposes.
However if it's YOUR OC species, or a species that the creator has given permission to be used here (such as the case of Kaylink's wampuses), then you are free to use them as you wish. You will need to provide some information on the species so that we, the staff, can make sure they are nothing ridiculous or outlandish, but as long as you don't have them shit nuclear bombs or anything, it's unlikely that we'll have any problems.

It's fine- I can understand not having a lot of time to post and stuff. X3
And hmm...getting permission would probably be hard- I'd have to find her first. So I think I can do without them. XD
